We are so excited to have Sandy Klop visit the Attic Window Quilt Shop on Nov. 7th. She is the author of serval books, the lastest of which is American Jane's Quilts For All Seasons...And Some for No Reason. Here is a little of her bio:

Sandy Klop was trained as an art teacher and began quilting in 1979 while she was living in Iran and then Saudi Araia, teaching at an American school. One of her first quilts was a baby quilt, made for her third child who was born in Saudi Arabia.

Back in California in 1984, Sandy continued to expand her interest in quilting and improve her skills. She worked at a local quilt store and began teaching classes. In 2000, she published a series of three quilt books. In 2002, she started creating her own pattern and marketing them under the name American Jane Patterns. The following year she was invited to become a fabric designer for Moda Fabrics.

She has had quilts displayed at Houston Quilt Market and at the Pacific International Quilt Festival. She has 130 quilt patterns on display on her website.

We hope you will join us in welcoming Ms. Klop to the Grand Rapids area.
