THERE'S A NEW QUILTER IN TOWN

One of the joys quilters find, besides quilting, is sharing their tips and techniques with other quilters.

That was why I was so excited Misti (left in the picture) first asked me about quilting. I found someone to share my hobby with, to talk quilting with, to get excited over a piece of fabric with. Misti is a quick learner. She dove right in, took on projects of her own, and even made her own designs. She said it took her and daughter Emily (right in the picture) two days of fiddling with these blocks before they came up with the design they liked. For this baby quilt (a gift), Misti chose brown and aqua fabrics in a modern geometric design. She must be intuitive because I just heard today from some color expert on TV that aqua and brown are the newest trend in fabrics. Isn’t this a lovely quilt. She had the baby’s name machine stitched on the bottom edge of the quilt. For someone new to quilting, Misti does quality work and has a great color sense. I’ll look forward to her next project.
Crafts by Abby is an online resource of free quilt patterns for those interested in the Linus Project or just interested in small blankets. These patterns are easy to cut and fast to put together.
Until next time, Happy Quilting

How special and fun to share a love of quilting with a friend. I showed my BFF how to quilt, and we love to do it together. Only problem is she lives in Ohio, and I'm in FL. We work at making plans to get together and quilt :-)
