KNOTTY GIRLS ARE BEING KNOTTY AGAIN

The Knotty Girls Stitching Bee met recently at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and did they have a lot to share! These gals are so prolific and I couldn’t wait to show the pictures to you. Above, is a block from a crazy quilt by Bev S. Don’t you love the way she fussy cut the fabric to show the cat face.

This is a picture of the entire quilt. She said it is a crazy quilt done with Christmas fabrics.

This Hawaiian appliqué quilt is also by Bev S. These large intricately cut shapes are usually in only two or three different colors and the repeat pattern in the “snowflake” style makes them unique.

Marcy W. made this darling fish quilt. The pattern is from the Quiltmaker Magazine. She is still doing some embroidery on this one before she does any quilting.

Colleen V. made this Winter Whimsical. This design teeters somewhere between folk art and traditional, yet has a fresh style.

Barb David made this Seasonal Sampler. She said used the needleturn method for all the appliqué. I love its fresh feel of spring.

Barb also made this Blue Bird quit. The pattern is from Crab Apple Hill.

Sherrie P. made this beautiful quilt from fabrics she purchased several years ago. Don’t you love these vibrant colors.
.
Yes, the Attic Window Quilt Shop is open today, Monday, July 5th! Don’t forget that today is the last day of the sale. Can’t beat great fabric at $4/yard! I’m thinking “backing.”
.
The Painted Quilt has the cutest stitchery this month. Be sure to check it out.

Until next time,Caroll
