HEART OF WINTER TOUR LAST STOP

Our fourth stop on the Heart of Winter Tour brought us back to the Attic Window Quilt Shop where we were greeted with this cute display as we walked in the door.  Then we were treated to lots of warm food (thank goodness I didn’t have to make dinner) and had time to do more shopping.

I won’t show pictures of the shop as you’ve seen them before.  However, I do want to show you what was given to all on the tour.  We got the pattern for this snowman that I blogged about here AND the fabric to make the adorable wallhanging.   In the morning as we got on the bus, Chris (shop owner) gave me a bag of goodies (needles, threads, zipper pouches, books, rotary holder, magnetic note pads, etc.)  During the drive Lee Ann pulled an item from the bag and I pulled out a name from my bag and prizes were distributed to each person on the bus.  I got this cute little zipper pouch with a spool of thread inside.  Thank you Chris for all you do for us quilters!

We got to shop too and I discovered new fabric!  This is the Stitch In Color line by Malka Dubrawsky for Moda .  I love her fabrics and books and had to run home to get my pattern so I could purchase some of this fabric before it is all gone.  I know just what I’m going to do with it.

These are more fabrics from Malka's line.  Lee Ann bought some too.  I bet she’s going to make a bag and I can’t wait to see it.

These are also new fabrics.  Shadow Flower is by Windom Fabrics.  I think I’ll have to have some of these too.

That’s all of the tour. A special thanks to the shops who put this together for us.  My friend goes to the casinos and calls it her therapy.   I go to quilt shops and call it my therapy. ;o)

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Quilt on the Grand show October 5-7 at the Delta Plex Arena.

Creating My Way To Success has a tutorial for making a wrist mouse pad.  I think this will be great for all us who spend time on the computer (way too much time.

Looks like a great day. You got some nice prizes, and what fun fabrics! I would like to try one of these bus tours one day. :-)
