FINISHED AT LAST!

How did your quilting go this past weekend?  I didn’t get nearly the projects finished that I had planned.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.  I did manage to stay in all day Sunday and sew.  I spent the first two hours of my day looking for a pattern.  Ugh!  I did find it but then couldn’t decide on which fabrics to use and gave up on that project.  I did make a decision...finally, and decided it was time to finish this table runner.  So, here it is, quilted and bound. This pattern is from Kim Schaefer’s Calendar Runners.
This pattern is designated for the month of March.  This is a close-up of one of the red birds.
This is another block.
I love adding these flowers.  This packet of 12 patterns also includes patterns/instructions for place mats and napkins.  Today I also started work on the place mat for the month of December.  What fun.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW:
  • The Shop Swap Days with the Attic Window and Quilted Memories sharing in the swap will be held Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1-5, and Sunday, Oct. 27 from 1-5.
  • Fall Clean-up Sale will be Friday, October 25th from 10-8 and again Saturday, October 26 from 10-5.  Sale fabrics, books and patterns will be up to 75% off.
  • The First Annual Jingle Bell Hop will be Monday, Nov. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 16.  The four shops participating are Attic Window, Pressing Matters, Custom Quilts Unlimited, and Queen Bee.
  • Black Friday Stitch-In will be held Friday, Nov. 28, starting at 8 a.m.
  • Craft Day will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 – 5.  Join us and make some fun Christmas gifts early.  Four to five projects are being planned for the day.  Class time is free but there will be a small fee for project kits.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: I know some of us bought the Curve Master Foot at the recent AQS show in Grand Rapids.  This pattern by the Bitchy Stitcher should give that new foot lots of practice.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
