ARE YOU IN A GIFT MAKING MOOD?

A while ago I posted a link to Patchouli Moon Studio.  She had a tutorial for a Monster Pencil bag. You've got to go see all the cute bags she made.  I have two darling great grand boys in Pennsylvania so I had to make these Monster bags for them.
Of course, then I had to make something for their sisters, so I made pencil bags that looked a little more feminine and not so scary.  I didn’t think they’d like monsters.
Above you can see the lining in them.  These were all so fun to make.  I’m getting excited about Christmas, are you? Drop me a line and let me know what items you are making for gifts this year.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW:
  • Black Friday Stitch-In will be held Friday, Nov. 28, starting at 8 a.m. at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.
  • Craft Day will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 – 5.  Join us and make some fun Christmas gifts early.  Four to five projects are being planned for the day.  Class time is free but there will be a small fee for project kits.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: Fave Quilts  has a tutorial for making a Pieced Christmas Tree Block.  Thanks to Vickie D. who sent me the link.  Vickie said she thought she’d embellish the tree and make a wall hanging.  You could also use this block as a hot pad for a nice hostess gift.  Check it out!

PS:  Linking up with Freemotion by the River.  Check it out.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

Those are all so cute! I love them and the linings, too! I'm not going to do too much sewing this year. No time. I will make some gifts for my secretaries and my work studies. We'll see if I get all that done. LOL.

Love those Little Monsters, want to make a couple of those too! I started sewing for Christmas markets this weekend (if I had known before...)--5 of my 2-zip purses sewn and 8 more cut, two already *sold* before they´re sewn, can´t keep people out of my sewing room! And after those...we´ll see, several ideas and many of them came from you Caroll, thank you for so many links to fresh, fun projects!!! Hugs, Bobbi

Caroll, your pencil bags are so adorable! Especially the little monsters. I was wishing you'd unzipped them a little to get their true personality. I loved these when I saw them on Daryl's blog.
