ATTIC WINDOW HAS A WONDERFUL DEMO

Good Morning Quilters!  I finally got my lap top back and can show you some pictures that I’ve been wanting to share.  First of all, I want to tell you about our last Applique Bee meeting at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  I had asked Chris if she would do a demo on to machine applique.  Of course, said she would.  Not only did she give us a short demo, she distributed packets that included the various pieces needed for a machine applique project and a pattern so we all had something to practice on.  Above she instructs us on the tools needed and how we should layer our project.
Here she helps Marilyn fuse her pieces and get them ready for placement on the background piece.
Above, Chris demonstrates how we could place several pieces on top of each other and fuse them before we placed them onto the background piece.
Chris then demonstrated on the sewing machine how to use various appliqué stitches around the fused pieces.
This is the sample of the kit the Chris gave to each of us to make.  This is also the piece she worked on as she showed us the stitches, thus the reason for the contrasting thread and pencil marks.
Above shows the stitching that Chris did on my project for me.  I thought it would help you see what the appliqué stitch looks like.  Thank you Chris for this wonderful demo and gift to all of us!!
Sandi stopped in the shop that day and showed us this darling bag that she made from scraps.  She said she just took scraps of blue fabrics and crocheted (or knitted) the bag.  (Please excuse me. I don’t know if I have CRS or just had a bad (make that too good) of a weekend.  LOL
This is the beautiful appliqué that Judie was working on.  It is the third block of her Sycamore Rose quilt.
