HAPPY SCRAPPERS ARE PRODUCTIVE SCRAPPERS

The Happy Scrappers met for a productive day at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  Paula worked on her Row By Row quilt.  Above are two of the blocks for the Row from the Seven Sisters Quilt Shop in Carson City.  Isn’t it adorable!
Paula (left) also showed us her latest finish.  This super quilt is from a panel.  She said the pattern and directions were included.
Peggy was working on these flying geese for a quilt as you go table runner.  Love those fabrics and hope I can get a picture for you when it is finished.
Remember this quilt?  Rose had it completed at one time then took it all apart.  Above she shows us her finished (now) project.
Before, when she thought she had it finished, she decided it had too much white.  To change that, she fussy cut some squares of fabric, edged them with bright borders and placed them so they broke up where she thought there was too much whiteness.  Great idea!
Above, Rosa shows us her happy smile now that she is working on the backing for this quilt.
Do you think Adrienne might like the color lime green?  Notice in the above picture she has a lime green purse, a lime green drinking glass, even a lime green Best Press bottle, and is working on these blue and lime green rectangles.  I think she may even be wearing lime green nail polish!
Adrienne wanted to do something different with her strip rectangles and even with all of us trying to help, it seemed to look like disorder and confusion.
Adrienne decided she liked this design better.  It sure is easier on the eyes…and mind.  Adrienne said that in the previous layout her mind was always trying to fix things and make order out of the chaos.  I agree, don’t you?
Val continued working on these small squares that remind me of New York Beauties.  I think she said she had about 90 to go.  Yikes!  Val did bring us some Chicago Popcorn to sooth our nerves.  Thanks Val. It was delicious!
Lee Anne is making a baby quilt.  She said when the mood strikes her she picks up a charm pack and starts sewing.  I think she said it is for charity.  I wish I had gotten the name for this charm pack because I sure like the colors.
Nancy continues to work on this marvelous quilt.  She said she is making it from scraps and has agreed to show up how she does this.  I’m looking forward to using my scraps for this one.
Janalee is working on this baby quilt for the Neonatal group at the West Michigan Quilt Guild.  Did you know that you can get precut kits from the Neonatal group and all you have to do is make the quilt? What a great way to spend your time while socializing with the Happy Scrappers.  You can go here to learn more about Neonatal Quilts.
And this is the scrap quilt that I recently finished.  It is made from fabrics in my scrap pile.  I rarely use dark fabrics anymore and was glad to find a way to use these fabrics.

And do you know...I sat right across the table from Cathy M. and didn't get a picture of her Row By Row quilt that she was working on!  I'm so sorry!  Next time!

Above are the ornaments that the Happy Scrappers made for the Ornament Contest.  Chris said that you have until the end of August to get your ornament to her for the contest.
