MAKING SMALL GIFTS

Thought I’d let you know what I did this weekend.  I made these Little Wallets.
The Little Wallet is a pattern by Valorie Wells.  It is so easy to make…fun and quick.  I use mine to hold my credit cards.  Now they are all in one place and I’m not searching through my purse muttering "where the heck is that darn card.”
It is also a great way to use your scraps! It calls for a snap, which I didn’t have on hand.  I didn’t want to use a button because I know from past experience that it only catches on things in my purse, so I used Velcro.  I’m thinking of making more as they would make nice little Christmas gifts.  Imagine how much they will be used and enjoyed…especially when you tuck a gift card inside.  What did you do this past weekend?

DON’T FORGET:
  • To mark your calendar for the West Michigan Quilters’ Build Quilts on the Grand.  The date is October 3 through 5 at the DeltaPlex Arena.
  • Happy Scrappers meets Wednesday and Saturday this week at the quilt shop.
ANOTHER NOTEMcCalls Quilting has a free Scrappity Do Dah pattern.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

These wallets are a great idea! So simple, yet functional. I like the velcro as a fastener. The use of bright fabric would make it easy to find in one's purse. Thanks!

I have lost count of how many of these I have made. They are addictive! Yours look great! I have done both snap and Velcro closure. Both work well.

Caroll, these are a big favorite little wallet of mine. I have not made any myself, but I've been given two as gifts. They are SO handy for more than just credit cards and gift cards. I'm thinking now that maybe it's time I make a few. Off to see where I can find that pattern.......
THANKS for the push! :-) I especially love the two you singled out to demo.
