WINNING COMES IN DIFFERENT WAYS

I'm a winner!  Last week I entered a give-away during Put A Little Love In Your Quilt hop and won this Tulips quilt pattern from Bejeweled Quilts by Barb.  You can get this pattern and see all of Barb's patterns on her Etsy shop.  You won't want to miss them.  Thank you Barb.  I can't wait to make this quilt that has both piecing and applique!  You know I love applique.
I was also a winner today in another way, because my friend Mary asked me if I was interested in attending her Book Club where Debbie Tenbrink was to speak.  Debbie is a local author who wrote Warped Ambition, a Jo Riskin Mystery.  I loved hearing Debbie's talk today.  She told us about how she got her ideas, how long it took to write her book, and that she is on the third book in this series.

Members of the book club used words of praise, and many said, "She had me hooked from page one."   "I couldn't stop reading.  I had to know what happened next."  "She makes you feel that you are reading about friends."    You can also see many positive reviews of her book on Amazon.

Debbie was inspiring and I can't wait for the second book in this series to arrive on the book shelves.  You won't want to miss how she weaves a mystery that will capture you right from the start.  Many of the women today commented about how they liked that the story takes place right here in Grand Rapids.

A special thank you to Mary for inviting me!

I'm going to have to look for Debbie's book, I'm always looking for new authors, especially if they don't contain cussing, lol.....heading over to Amazon!!
