FIRST SAMPLER SERIES AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Just stopping by to say Hi!  Above is the block for the Sampler Series at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  This is one of the blocks that we had to have finished for the September meetings.  I figure if I keep practicing maybe I’ll become a better piecer.
However, this is the extra block for the Sampler Series and I like it so much better!  Have I told you how much I like applique? ;o)
FlourishingPalms has a tutorial for an interesting block.

Mark your Calendar for these upcoming events:

Becky Goldsmith of Piece O’ Cake Designs will be lecturing Tuesday, September 27 at the evening meeting of the West Michigan Quilters’ Guild.  She will also be teaching two classes:  Whimsical Garden  is full.  But you can still register for Picasso’s Garden is Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 9-4.  This is a lesson in improvisational quilting for the quilter who doesn’t usually break the rules.  You can read more about it and find out how to sign up for the classes at the guild website here.

The Harvest Shop Hop is coming up.  Two big weekends!  Thursday, Sept. 22 through Sat., Sept. 24 and Thursday, Sept. 29 through Sat., Oct. 1.  A bus is available.  Fourteen shops are participating.  This is the tenth year for the shop hop and the shops are going all out to make it a special event.  The passport is only $10 and you will receive free patterns and a pin.

Stay calm! Stay kind! Stay Positive!

  1. Lovely blocks, and Becky Goldsmith is one of our AAQI quilters! I'm sure that will be a great time for everyone as she is so talented and seems so very nice. Love your 'Stay Positive'...we just have to keep on and it's all good. But I had to laugh and laugh hard at you and your buttons and thoughts about scrabooking! So, button, buttons who's got those buttons now ;) Hugs to you!!

  2. Tears streaming down my face that I don't have time to do Becky Goldsmith. What a missed opportunity for me. Are you going? I hope so!
