ALWAYS SOMETHING TO LEARN AT THE QUILT SHOP

I really should get out more often.  Since I missed the Sampler session at the Attic Window Quilt Shop on the first Saturday, I attended the one on Monday night.  The class room was full and I saw so many new faces and met a first time visitor.  What a great experience.  So tonight I’m showing you some new faces who had something for show-n-tell.  Above Jill S. shows us her “cool” quilt.  She didn’t want me to take a picture of it.  “It’s nothing,” she said.  It was just two pieces of fabric sandwiched with batting, bound and quilted.  She said it was for a new baby and they wanted a quilt for when they placed the baby on the floor.  Jill said she wasn’t going to have them use a “good” quilt for the floor, so she made this one.  She said that the new baby’s brother calls it the “cool” quilt.  Great idea, Jill.
Jill also showed us this darling quilt.  She said that 21 years ago she made a quilt for her granddaughter.  Jill saved the scraps from that quilt and made this quilt above from the them.  Amazing.
Pauline W. finished her Sampler quilt from last year.  I’ve been showing a lot of these finishes.  Each one is different and beautiful.
Linda V. also finished her 2013 Sampler quilt.  Beautiful!
