IN REMEMBERANCE

Above, is the third and final block of In Remembrance, the quilt from the  El Camino Real book by Nancy and Oliver Rink.  I posted the previous blocks here and here.  I love this quilt with all the applique flowers and the many borders.  The book is available at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.
However, I have decided not to make the full quilt.  Instead, I am going to make these three blocks into a bed runner.  Above, I have attached the three blocks, and added and inner border.  Now I need to spend time…lots of time, deciding how I’m going to place the flowers on the outside border.  So, that’s what I’ll be doing this holiday weekend.  What about you?  Got any plans?

If you don’t have any plans, you might want to stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and pick up some new fabric  Also, why not bring something to work on and spend some time sewing with your quilting friends as there is a Stitch-In on Friday and Saturday.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:  Did you go check out the Row By Row Shop Hop website.  This is a must for anyone traveling this summer.  You won’t want to miss this.

Sew Mama Sew has a free pattern for Modern Geometrics Table Runner and Coasters.  (Scroll down to the end of the post for the link.)

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
