ARE YOU READY TO MAKE THE JUNE SAMPLER BLOCKS?

The first Sampler class for this month was held at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  I did get my block finished, and it was not as easy as it looked.
Robin got creative with her block and used up some of those extra fabrics that she has been accumulating each month.
Judy made a small block as well as the larger one.
These are the blocks we will be making this month.  I hope this block is as easy as it looks.
Judy R. showed us this adorable quilt that she recently finished.
Judy R. also showed us this delightful quilt top.  Love those spider webs!
Cathy M. showed us this bag she made when taking a class from Marilyn.  She is explaining to us how easy this bag is to make and that she had it completed in one day.
This is the bottom of the bag.   It has a secure clasp opening as well as its own feet so the bottom doesn’t touch the floor.  If you are interested in making a bag like this, call the shop and sign up for a class.  I’ll probably see you there as I think this bag will make a wonderful Christmas gift.
Cathy also had a tip for us.  This bag pattern came on thin tissue paper like you see when we sew dress patterns.  Since Cathy intends to make several of these bags, she was anxious to preserve the vulnerable tissue paper, so she pressed each piece into Freezer paper.  What a great idea!

ON ANOTHER NOTE:
  • Did you go check out the Row By Row Shop Hop website.  This is a must for anyone traveling this summer.  You won’t want to miss this.
  • Cut To Pieces has a tutorial for a Cracker Scraps quilt.
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

  1. The block you made does not look easy. I'm guessing it involved partial seams? However, it looks like you did a great job!
