LEE ANNE IS A GOOD SPORT

Lee Anne had a London City Bag class scheduled to teach this past Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  However, there was one small snag.  Three of us, who were registered to take the class, decided during our class on Monday with Vickie, to take those blocks we made that day, and use them to make the Strip Street Bag instead.  Lee Anne previously held this class and you can read about it here.  Lee Anne is such a good sport.  She didn't care and is always so helpful.  That's why when I want to make a bag, I take a class from her!
We love this Strip Street Bag pattern.  It is by Quilted Memories.  It is quick to make.  However, above is Rosa working on her two hour bag five months later.   A good part of our day was spent teasing Rosa about that time lag.
Rosa said, “The first bag went so fast that now I’m going to start a new one.”  Rosa is using the blocks she made last week in Vickie’s Four-Patch Slash class.
Donna is making her blocks from the Four-Patch Slash class into a bag too.
Then there is Diana...she is not making the bag but is going to make a full quilt from her Four-Patch Slash blocks.  Even though she was not making the bag on Saturday, she joined us and continued to sew more of her Four-Patch Slash blocks.  I think she likes us.  I know we love having Diana sew with us too.
During the day, Catherine stopped in at the shop and showed us another Lone Star Swirl that she had just finished.
This is another view of that stunning quilt!
I previously told you I would show you the blocks I made at Vickie’s Four-Patch class.  I forgot to take a picture of the before blocks, but above you can see them in my completed Strip Street Bag.
This is another view.  I love this pattern and find the bag so useful!  I’m tempted to keep it for myself, but will have restraint as it is a gift for my aunt.
