SEWING WITH BRIAN

When I was sewing with Brian last week, I worked on putting my wonky blocks together.  You may remember that I received these blocks from the women of Bees In The Attic, a bee hive at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

I found this fabric on sale at the shop with the intentions of using it for the backing.  However, I decided that I needed to make the quilt bigger and think I will add a narrow solid blue border, then add about three inches of this fabric for the border. Do you think it will work?

When I was sewing with Brian, he showed me this cathedral windows quilt that he is making.  He is using old blue jeans for the base fabric.

Each center will be filled with a beautiful batik.

These are the stack of batiks that Brian has cut and ready to add to his quilt.

This is the back of his quilt.  It looks as pretty as the front.  Can't wait to see this quilt finished.

A special thank you to Brian for having me over to sew and feeding me a delicious lunch.  Hope we can do it again soon.

  1. Your nine patch is pretty and colorful. I've made a cathedral windows out of jeans. It turns out great. I like this one with the batiks. I used blue fabric.
