ANOTHER PERFECT DAY

We had another perfect day when the Happy Scrappers met Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Above, Marti shows us the cooling neck scarf that she made.  I love the fabric she chose for her scarf.  Marti said in the past she has purchased over a dozen of these and it is nice that she can now make her own.  A reader recently asked where you get the cooling beads.  Cathy is the one who found them for us.  She said you can find them in the flower section of craft stores or in the garden center at home improvement centers.  They are very tiny before you pump them up with water.  Cathy said that after we make our scarf we should put it in the refrigerator in a zip lock bag when not wearing the scarf.  If the beads return to solid form you just soak your scarf in water to reconstitute the beads.

The rest of the day Marti worked on this adorable baby quilt that she is making for charity.  The fabric is so cute.  The red has paw prints on it and the pink has little bears.

Lee Anne continued working on her charity quilt using these beautiful charm squares.  Hope to get a picture when it is finished.

 I worked on making five more of these "Z" blocks.  Now I'm trying to decide if I want sashings between the blocks or what?  Any suggestions?

I also worked on these little bows for a Christmas table runner.  This is from the book Angles With Ease 2.
