HAVE YOU TRIED THIS?

You might remember that I shared with you here, that Cathy was experimenting with Kraft-Tex.  It is a paper product that combines the best of leather and fabric! It's durable and textured like leather, but made of a paper product that can be cut, sewn, and washed like fabric. It can be embossed, embroidered, painted, dyed, drawn on, and more. Above is the coupon holder that Cathy made. Cathy said, "I played with markers and water color pastels first, then washed, dried and ironed it.  After all that, Cathy said it was still sturdy and very much usable. She also did the stitching around the coupon holder.  She said it was easy and she had no problem stitching on this product.
Where Cathy wrote "Receipt," she used a black marker and it did not hold up when washed.
Cathy said that she did find that the Pentel Permanent Fabric Marker did work very well and lasted through the washing.

Thank you Cathy for sharing with us.  This information is good to know.  I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with this product.

You can purchase Kraft-Tex at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Above Cathy used the gray.  You can also find it in beautiful bright colors at the shop.  For more information about how to use this product you might want to watch the videos here.
