A SCRAP IN TIME SAVES YOU MONEY

I've been playing with my scraps again and made the above table topper from my yellow scrap box.
I gathered my yellow scraps and added them to a muslin template.  Then thought I needed some contrast between the wedge shapes and added the orange.
I added a faux border to finish it off.
Of course, when using your scraps you make more scraps, but even these very small pieces do not go to waste.  Once my small scrap bag is full I take it to Shirley who is at the Attic Window Quilt Shop on Thursdays.  She uses these small pieces to fill beds for the animal shelter.

I hope you will join me in making fabric from your scraps on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  You can read about the class here.

  1. This mat is sunshine right on your table! Perfect for these gray winter days (that are really still Fall). I like that orange star center to separate your yellow made fabric. I love your made fabrics.
