Hello Quilters. I may not have mentioned this before, but the part about this quilting thing that I dislike the most is cutting fabric. It really pains me to take my fabric or even my scraps and cut into specific sizes. Some of it is just too beautiful to cut, and there is that little voice in my head that yells, "what if you need the whole piece of fabric later?" However, I've bitten the bullet and started cutting my 30s fabrics into 4.5 squares, 2.5, squares, and 2.5 X 4.5 rectangles. Have you been doing that too in preparation for
Happy Scrappers when we meet next month at the
Attic Window Quilt Shop? Mary said she would show us her clever way to sew them together. I blogged about it
here. It doesn't look like I have a very big pile, but if I do a little each day it doesn't hurt that much. And I keep telling myself it is for a good cause. I plan to make this a charity quilt. I hope you will join us on the second Wednesday of the month.
