I'M A PROUD GREAT GRANDMA!

Please allow me to be a proud great grandma for a minute.  Above is my ten-year-old great granddaughter.  She is showing me the purse that she made.  I think I told you last year about her starting to sew and beginning her first quilt.  I wish we lived closer so we could sew together but sadly she is in another state.  However, whenever I stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, I look for kits that I think she can put together.  The shop has a cute bag pattern and kit that comes in different sizes.  I thought that would be perfect for a new sewer.  So I put it into the box I was mailing, along with fabrics and other various items that I had duplicates of and thought she might like.

Above, she shows us the inside of the purse.  Her mother told me that this was the first time she had learned to make a buttonhole.  I hope she continues to like sewing as much as I do.  It is a craft she can enjoy all her life.
