OPEN AND BUSY AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

We had some activity going on at the Attic Window Quilt Shop today.  Cathy M. stopped by the shop and showed me this mini quilt.  I think she has been practicing curve sewing and also made this as a sample for a Bee we hope to have in the fall.  It is from the book Mini Master Pieces.  

Pauline stopped by also.  She made this adorable quilt from scraps.  Over five years ago she made an Eleanor Burns quilt.  She said the directions said to save the scraps and make this quilt.  So, now that she has the time, she dug out those leftover pieces and got busy!  

About 15 years ago, Pauline bought the pattern and fabrics for this quilt, but never got around to making it until now.  It is Merry Merry Snowman and was a BOM in another city.

This is a closeup of one of her blocks.  I'm sorry but the picture does not do justice to her machine applique.  She does beautiful work!

Marilyn was in for instructions on making freezer paper applique.  She is making the table runner that I blogged about here.

The light fabric will be her background and the purples more flower petals.  I can't wait to see this all assembled with these beautiful fabrics.  You can find them at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  I hope to send you more pictures next week when Marilyn continues to work on this table runner.

• You can pickup your project for any BOM or Sampler class that you were taking.  The projects will be ready for you any time during the month of July.
• This month there will be open sewing on Fridays and Saturdays after the holiday.   
• Shop hours will remain the same during the month of July: Monday-Thursday, 10-5; Friday and Saturday, 10-3.
