This is a close look at the inside. Don’t you just love all those pockets and zippers! What a darling pouch!
Cathy M. was sewing bindings on her placemats. I think I previously showed you the little cathedral window blocks she was making. She sewed them together, added a piece of rickrack and, poof, she has an adorable placemat.
This is a close up of one with the finished binding. Wouldn’t this make a great scrappy project! You can see more of Cathy's place mats by going to the Grand Rapids Modern Quilters blog here.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
- Forth Worth Fabric Studio has a free pattern for a six pocket tote.

The placemats are beautiful but the first thought after "how pretty" was "oh, man, spaghetti sauce and red wine" all over that white!
ReplyDeleteYou know how I love that bag. She used such cute fabric! I thought the same thing as Denice about stains on the placemats. However then I thought, heck, she could just appliqué something over any stubborn stains if they bothered her. In any case, they are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous placemats - and I love the bag, although I'd probably never make it!
ReplyDeleteI love Sew Together bags. They are addicting!
