LET'S CELEBRATE LIFE!

Recently I found a new blog, Em Celebrates. The other day when I was visiting, I left a comment. Several days later, I was notified that I had won the give-away. I didn’t know about the give-away. I left a comment because I think her blog is cute and her post that day touched me. Today I received this wonderful book from Em. Her enclosed card said, “Celebrating me and you and life!! Enjoy the beauty, Em” Em, I thank you so much and am looking forward to reading this book. Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place by Terry Tempest Williams, says on the back that it is “A record of loss, healing grace, and the search for a human place in nature’s large design.” Sounds deep and thought provoking. Thank you Em for this beautiful gift!

Are you wondering what I have the book laying on? What is beneath the book? I’m such a tease. I’ve been working on this project all weekend and had to show a little of what I’ve done. It’s for my Great Grand Son, and I’ll show it all to you when I’m finished.

Can you believe this week is the last full week in January! Yikes! Where did the month go? There is a lot going on at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this week. Monday is UFO day and a great time to finish one of the multitudes of UFOs you have stashed. On the other hand, you can go make a toothbrush rug. You can also attend Julie’s class and learn to make one of her beautiful dolls! Check out the classes on the sidebar. One of these will help you get out of those winter doldrums.

DON’T FORGET:

HEART OF WINTER TOUR takes place Saturday, February 12. For more information, call the shop.

The SNOW DAYS OF JANUARY is happening at the Attic Window Quilt Shop all this month. You’ll want to take advantage of the sale and pick up your gift.

The KNOTTY GIRLS will be stripping Wednesday night! Watch for pictures toward the end of the week!

Get Your Craft On has a cute idea for a quilt for your sewing machine.  She says, "It's your sewing machine's very own quilt! Put your sewing machine on top of it and have all your sewing tools right there for you in the handy little pockets!"  Check it out!

Stay Positive!

Well what a nice surprise - enjoy the book! I can't wait to see what you're making, I love the colors, it looks so cheerful. And no, I cannot believe January is almost over....sheesh. I was hoping this year would go a little slower than last! Of course, it can speed right through the cold months, then slow down for summer. *G*
