LOOKING FOR A NEW PROJECT?

I stopped in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop today to pick up some fabric, and look what I saw.  Lee Anne made this stunning quilt.  It is called ZigZag and comes in a kit only.
Then I saw this adorable Tote Trivet.  It comes flat with a zipper in the middle.  You open the zipper and fill it with your sewing notions and when you are ready to use them, the sides snap up to make a convenient basket to keep the items within reach!
Here's another way to stay organized.  You can make this Sew Organized to hold all your sewing notions where ever you go.
Stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop soon and while there take a look at all these new books that have been arriving.  I'm thinking I have to have that Paper Piecing one!

DON'T FORGET!  MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW!

  • Saturday is May 1 and that means it is Sampler time.  First Sampler class in May is this coming Saturday, May 1.
  • Happy Scrappers will meet on Saturday, May 22, instead of the last Saturday in May.  We decided to meet a week earlier because the Memorial Day Holiday weekend falls on the last Saturday of the month.
  • Watch for the May calendar, which will be out soon!

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new items.  The shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.

HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Look at this beautiful table topper!  I saw it when attending Happy Scrappers at the Attic Window Quilt Shop yesterday.  I think it is the one that Marilyn made from the lovely fabric I showed you here.  Got to make this!

I had a wonderful time sewing with friends on Saturday.  Above, Winnie B. shows us this baby quilt that she was hand quilting.  So cute!
Janalee was quilting another charity quilt.  Some little boy will love this!
Erma was attaching the binding on this adorable little project.  I forgot to ask her if she was using it as a table topper, hot pad, wall hanging, or what.  It is so cute, I can think of so many places I could use it.

Jane was busy sewing strips together.  Then she will cut them into blocks and then make a charity quilt.  I thought of Rosa when I saw this Mickey Mouse fabric (Rosa loves Mickey).  This fabric is so cute!

It was a fun time and so great to be with sewing friends.  I'm not sure if we will meet again on the last Saturday of the month in May because that is Memorial Day Weekend and even during these trying times, people may have plans.  I'll check the calendar and see if we can meet a week earlier.  Keep your eyes open for the May calendar which will be out soon.

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new items.  The shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.

YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS ANY OF THIS NEW FABRIC JUST IN AT THE SHOP

Chris sent pictures of new fabrics at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  I couldn't wait to show them to you! Dot Dot Dot is what the above fabrics are called.  They are from Windham Fabrics.  Don't you just love polka dots?

The above fabric is also from Windham.  It is called Desert Cowboy.  This beautiful fabric will fit in with the new home décor.  Don't forget July 4th will be here before we know it.  This would be perfect for making that special table runner for the celebration.

This is another new fabric from Windham.  It is called Color Theory and can be found at quilt shops only!

This is a close up of this stunning fabric.  Think of all the beautiful things you can make with this!

Check this out!  All of this beautiful fabric is on the same bolt!  It is from Hoffman and called Rainbow.  This is a must have!

FLOWERS AND SCRAPS. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?

Hello Quilters!  It's been a while since I've posted, but that is because I've been spending time working in my yard while the weather is beautiful here in Michigan.  Now I hear we are getting snow on Tuesday.  Yikes!

Above is the latest applique block for the Bliss pattern. The leaves aren't finished, but I'm trying to decide if I want to raw edge applique the center spine on each leaf or just stitch it in.  Lots of decisions, as I have one more block to make, then I have to decide if I want to make them all into one big quilt, or use them individually as wall hangings.  You can get the pattern at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

Don't forget!  The Happy Scrappers meet this coming Saturday, April 24, at the Attic Window Quilt ShopChris has a new project to show us. and I can show you how I made this (below).

This is a scrappy wedding ring block.  I got the free pattern after watching Teresa Down Under's excellent video.  You can watch it here.
I wanted to learn all about sewing curves and I thought this would give me lots of practice while using my scraps at the same time.
There are so many ways to place the wedding ring blocks.  This question mark above makes me aware I have a lot to think about.

And don't forget to stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop to see all the new items in the store.

NEED NEW FABRIC?

Hello Quilters!  I went to the Attic Window Quilt Shop today to sew with Chris and have a little birthday party.  While there, I saw so many new items at the store.  These fabrics I'm showing you today are all by Hoffman.  I fell in love with the above fabric and am eager to see the sample table topper that Marilyn is making.

These fabrics are stunning!

And, check out these new books by Martindale!

And, I had to show you this quilt that I saw at the shop today.  I think it was from a shop hop a couple of years ago.  I love it!

I can't wait to show you what Chris and I did today.  She started a new quilt and used only one charm pack.  The colors are beautiful!  I can't wait to see how she finishes it.  I decided to copy her and used a different charm pack.  I didn't get as far along as she did, but I hope to get the blocks finished this week.  We'll see, since we are having beautiful weather here in Michigan and my yard works keeps calling me.

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new items.  The shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.

HAPPY EASTER!

My great granddaughter made this adorable little bunny to hang on the front door of their home during this Easter season.  She is nine years old, and I'm so thrilled that she is enjoying this wonderful hobby. She seems so young to be doing such nice work.

I know that everyone from the Attic Window Quilt Shop joins me in wishing you a blessed Easter holiday.

Hello Quilters.  Today I wanted to show you this adorable panel now in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  It's called Purrfect Day and is by Windham Fabrics.  What quilter doesn't love cats?  Can't you see it hanging in your sewing room?  Or how about cuddling  up under a Purrfect Cat quilt?
