HAPPY SCRAPPERS CHECK OUT NEW PATTERNS AND FABRIC

The Happy Scrappers met this past Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Lee Anne showed us her most recent finish.  This wall-hanging is adorable.

You can get the pattern, which includes many more, at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

Only a few Happy Scrappers attended the meeting, but I imagine it was due to the weather.  Lots of snow and ice here in Michigan. I did get to look at all the new fabric and that was a treat!  Above is the Windsong collection by Wilmington Prints.  I love all the coordinating layer cakes and charm packs.

Also on display was this Hello Spring collection by Riley Blake.

These are the Hello Spring fabrics to go with the layer cake, charm pack and jello roll.
And these are the coordinating fabrics.  Just imagine what you can do with all these lovely fabrics!

These stunning reds are also by Riley Blake

These beautiful batiks are by Anthology.

And I honestly can't remember the name of these fabrics or the company they are from.  But they are so pretty I had to show them to you.  Guess you'll just have to stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop to take a peek and place your order.  I know you'll love them!

The shop is open  Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Hope to see you there!!!!

HAPPY SCRAPPERS THINK POSITIVE

I don't know about you, but I'm thinking spring and flowers.  However, here in Michigan we are expecting another snow storm tonight.  Yikes!  Well, let's think positive.  Being cooped up in the house gives me lots of time to quilt!  And get ready for Happy Scrappers at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this Saturday, Feb. 25th.  The weather report says the weather should be great this Saturday and the sun will shine.  So we quilters will be ready to get out of the house and socialize.  And the best way to do that is at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  All are welcome.  Hope to see you there!

Feel free to stop in before that too.  The shop is open  Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.

HAVE YOU TRIED FREE MOTION QUILTING?

Hello Quilters.  Are you getting lots of quilting done?  I wanted to show you this latest quilt that Glenys made.  You remember Glenys, she used to teach at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  She lives near me and since we both got new Long Arms around the same time, we've been checking up on how each other is doing with our new toy.  I begged Glenys to send me this picture of her latest finish (well, she still has to hand sew the binding).  Isn't it adorable!  She said this was her own pattern and she did the free motion quilting herself!   She says it's not perfect but thinks a neighbor friend will like it.  I love it and think she did a great job.  I'm still struggling and so afraid to try free motion.  Great job Glenys!!!!  Keep up the good work.  You are my inspiration!

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and see all the new fabrics.  The shop is open  Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.

MARJORIE HAS ANOTHER FINISH!

I

Hello quilters. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful sunny day where you are. I'm sure this quilt above will bring a warm smile.  Marjorie J., our friend from Utah, sent me this picture of her latest finish. This is what she said, “I finished this top for my grandson's sixth birthday.  It is a panel called Punk Dino. Happy quilting!”

Thanks, Marjorie, for sharing with us. I bet he loves it.  And  I love seeing what others do. It gives me inspiration.

I don’t know what panels the Attic Window Quilt Shop has, but be sure and stop in and see all the new fabrics.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.
