FOUND THE PICTURES !

I do not know about me sometimes.  Maybe I'm getting too old for all this electronic stuff?  Anyway, the other day, after my last post, I happened to look at pictures on my phone.  And there it was, this picture of the quilt Marti was binding at Happy Scrappers at the Attic Window Quilt Shop on Saturday.  I, for the life of me, do not know why I grabbed my phone instead of my camera!  I cannot believe I did that!!!  Anyway, this is the adorable quilt Marti made and Mary Gee quilted for her.  So cute!

I made a zillion half square triangles for a project I'm working on.

And I did it using Thangles.  In fact, I had Chris (shop owner) show me how to do it the correct way, which made it easier and faster and they ended up all the same. She gave a fantastic demonstration for all of us to see.  You can get Thangles in different sizes at the Attic Window Quilt Shop

HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Hello Quilters!  The Happy Scrappers met this past Saturday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. It has really been a week for me.  Did you ever  have a day when things just went wrong?  Well, this morning when trying to get the picture I took yesterday at the Shop off my camera, I discovered that apparently my camera hadn't worked, and I had no pictures!  The one I wanted was of Marti, who was sewing the binding on her lovely quilt.  I'm so sorry I didn't get to show you how darling it is.

And I must apologize for an error I made last month.  I said the above picture was of Bev!  My mistake! It is a picture of Karen.  I'm so sorry Karen and sincerely apologize.

And, needless to say, I didn't get any other pictures that day.  There weren't many in attendance, but Karen, Lee Anne, Marti, and I enjoyed sewing and socializing.   Jane dropped in for a while, but she had just gotten back from the Paducah quilt show and was too tired to stay long.

However, we did get to hear all about Chris's trip to her son's wedding and see the lovely pictures.  What a treat!!

This is just a reminder that the Happy Scrappers will meet this coming Saturday, April 27th, at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. Yes, it's already the last Saturday of the month!  So, come one come all.  Just bring a project you want to sew on, scrappy or not, and sew and socialize with us.  I always look forward to this fun time.  Hope to see you there!

HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Hello Quilters.  I want to share the fun that the Happy Scrappers had when they met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  When looking around the shop, we found this! Can you guess what it is?  Not a bed quilt!  Notice the odd shape?
Here, Lee Anne models this beautiful coat.   What a fun item to make.  I bet you can find the pattern at the shop!!!
This is how it looks from the back.  I love this coat and hope to make it.  How about you?  It really looks easy!
Chris showed us this new quilt that she made.  She quilted it all herself too!  Maybe if you click on the picture you can get a better look and see her lovely quilting.
Bev shows us this cute Halloween project she is working on.
Jill made this three-yard quilt from the book, The Magic of Three Yard Quilts!
And, I'm not sure, but I think she made this cute quilt, too.  It is called Stinky Feet!  What a cute name!
Penny was busy working on these tiny paper pieced arcs!  What patience!  This will look lovely when she gets them together.  Can't wait to see it.  So sorry I didn't get pictures of Jane, Marti, and Donna.  I admit, I was busy socializing and didn't do much quilting.
I did have a finish. Last month I used scraps and worked on this sewing machine mat.  This was fun to make and is so useful!  The pattern is at the Attic Window Quilt Shop

Keep an eye out for the upcoming All Michigan Shop Hop.  It is in June and July, and there are over 80 stores participating, and there will be 100s of prizes and a Free gift at every store.
