LOOK WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH SCRAPS

Hello quilters!  The Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday, and I couldn't wait to show you this stunning quilt that Pam made.  She used her blue scraps to make this beautiful quilt.

Above, Pam shows us the test block that she made first with her  scraps.  Then she thought that it was a fun block and why not use all her blue scraps to make a quilt.  I think a quilt made of all scraps would be nice too.  Chris (shop owner) said she'll order the book with this pattern in it, so stop in at the shop or give her a call if you want one.

Jill joined us and was busy making a wall hanging for her house.

Lee Anne was working on her applique of these Sun Bonnet Sue blocks.

Nancy recently joined a Block Of The Week and showed us the block she was making for this week.  She said she receives a kit with all the fabrics weekly and it often includes a recipe too!  What fun.

Janalee was making a pillow.  She's busy sewing these narrow strips on a foundation.  I'm eager to see the finished product.  The fabrics are so luscious.

Mary was there but we got to talking and I forgot to take a picture.  She was using more of her 30s fabrics to make a charity quilt.

I also forgot to take a picture of the quilt I was working on, so I'll post that later this week.

Be sure and stop by the blog tomorrow, and I'll show you new fabrics in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, and the new calendar should be on the blog then.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Hope to see you there.

FAMILIAR FACES AT HAPPY SCRAPPERS

Hello quilters!  Look who’s back!  When the Happy Scrappers met at the Attic  Window Quilt Shop this past Wednesday, I was surprised to see three familiar faces that I haven't seen in a long time.  Robbie, Sally, and Kathy had decided to meet at the shop and it so happened that it was the same day as the Happy Scrappers!  It was so nice to see them and they decided to come at the same time each month.  After all, we have so much in common.  Look at this beautiful quilt that Robbie made from her scraps.

This is another look at her stunning quilt.  She was deciding on a border to add or not to add.

Above is a stack of blocks that she is making for her next quilt.  I love how she uses all her scraps! I want to learn how she does this.

Mary was working on another quilt for charity and using  up all those 30s fabrics.

And Lee Anne and Yvonne are working on this project.  It is my understanding that Lee Ann donated the fabric and Yvonne is putting it all together into a beautiful lap quilt. What a fun project!

As I walked around the store I saw so many new things and wanted to show you a few.  I love this Snail Trail table topper above.
You can make one too, and you will want to use this Snail Trail foundation paper packet to make this block so easy!

And who doesn't need this!  Keep that pedal from sliding all around the floor with this Pedal Stay!

Be sure and stop by tomorrow, either here on the blog or in the Attic Window Quilt Shop to see all the new fabric.  It's beautiful!!

The Happy Scrappers meet again on Saturday, April 29th.  All are welcome.  You can spend a whole day socializing, having fun, shopping, and sewing.  All for just $5.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Hope to see you there.

NEW FABRICS AT ATTIC WINDOW

Greetings from the Attic Window Quilt Shop. It’s a beautiful day here in Michigan. Spring is here and planting season is on it’s way. Until then, I have plenty of time to sew. I know, I’ve shown you this before but, I wanted to show you again with the pattern, which you can get at the shop. Lynn W. made this helpful bag. I say helpful because it’s great not just for quilting projects, but can be used for many other things. I’m thinking of making several for my grandchildren who have art projects, scout projects, and one is writing a story. What a great idea to keep things together!

These Riley Blake fabrics are new at the shop. Bee Vintage is the name of the line.

And these are new Batiks from Hoffman.

These Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes are also from the Bee Vintage design by Riley Blake.

More goodies from Riley Blake. Chris said she loves this grouping It is so Retro looking.

We wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Easter.
