The above group of fabrics are labeled It’s a Girl from Riley Blake Designs. Love these cute animals and florals.

The above Black and White fabrics are called Makers Collage and are from Windham Fabrics.

These lovely fabrics with butterflies and precuts are called Kindness Always and are from Riley Blake Designs.

HAVE YOU HAD THIS MUCH FUN?

The Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday, and I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to see everyone.  It was a large group, and I wondered if the others were as happy as I was to get out and be with fellow quilters after being stuck in the house due to the snow for four days!  I didn't get a picture of everyone but I do have some to show you.  Above, Janalee shows us the house block she is working on for the Berry Patchers.

It's always so nice to see Lee Anne and her beautiful smile.  She is working on this paper pieced quilt.

Marti was hand sewing the binding on her quilt.

And, above, she shows us this bowl and coaster she made from rope.  I understand she took a class and really enjoyed it.  She said it is not as difficult as it looks

A couple customers stopped by and they were so gracious and let us see their quilts.  Above, Nancy J. made this quilt for her grandson.  It is all in batik fabrics and the pattern is  Scrap Crazy Bear Paw by Cut Loose Press.

And, above, Dianne P made this adorable quilt.  The pattern is from the Three Yard Quilt Book.

A special thanks to you all for sharing your quilts with us.

I almost forgot to show you the table topper I made from all scraps.

And I finished this quilt, which I made from a charm back that my grand daughter had given me for Christmas several years ago.  I plan to give this quilt to her since she is soon to be a new mama!

Also, I wanted to show you this table topper that is on display at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Marilyn made it for the shop and as you can see, it is also a kit!  I love kits!

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.

YOU TOO CAN MAKE A SCALLOPED BORDER.

Hello Quilters!  What a beautiful sunny morning here in Michigan!  And look at this picture of the beautiful quilt that Cathy M. made.  It is a panel, and what she wanted us to see is the scalloped border.  She said this is her first attempt at a scalloped border.  She used the Creative Grids ruler and followed Creative Grids Scalloped Template on YouTube.  This is a great video and shows you step-by-step how to make the paper template and adjust everything so it fits.

Stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop to see if they have this ruler.  I know they carry Creative Grid rulers and if it is not there, I bet Chris can order it for you.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.

NEW BOM STARTS IN FEBRUARY AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Hello Quilters! Are you sticking to your New Year’s goals? I hope your first goal is to visit the Attic Window Quilt Shop. And don’t forget to sign up for the new Block of the Month that begins in February. Participants have two choices as to the blocks they want to make. You can choose the Amish With A Twist pattern (above) and that is made with all solid fabrics.

Or you can choose the Traditional Whispers pattern which will be done in two different versions, like the photo above or in Batiks. Call the shop for details and to register.

While at the Attic Window Quilt Shop today I saw some interesting items to share with you. Above is this adorable bag with the pattern next to it.

And this cute little drawstring pouch with the pattern next to it.

I also saw this little bag that Marilyn made as a sample for the shop.  Can we ever have enough bags? They come in handy for so many things around the house, or when traveling, or keeping your quilting items together. I bet you can think of more uses!

Hope to see you soon!

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4
