BIG SALE ON NEW YEAR'S DAY!

It's almost here!  What are your goals for 2020?

My goal is to stop by the Attic Window Quilt Shop on New Year's Day and take advantage of the big SALE from 12 to 3 p.m.!  Think about it!  What a deal is this:
  • All sale merchandise with a red line through the tag, is marked down another 50%.
  • Everything else (except consignment items) is on sale too!  You will get 30% off of regular priced merchandise!

However, if you can't make it New Year's Day, you can still take advantage of a sale because Thursday, Friday, and Saturday you will also find specials on sale.  Be sure and check it out!

Have a wonderful and safe New Year.

PAULINE FINISHES ANOTHER QUILT

Cathy sent me this picture of Pauline's quilt.  Cathy and Pauline participate in the Civil War BOM at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. When I asked her if this was from that group, this is what she said:  "It was a BOM but from that book of a zillion blocks."  LOL  I have no idea what she means.  I do love Pauline's quilt and am amazed.  Cathy told me that each of these blocks are 4.5" x 5.5".  Wow!  Pauline you did a fantastic job!  And, thanks Cathy for sharing with us.

Question:  Does anyone have any trouble reading this blog?  I keep getting an email from Google saying Mobility Issues Detected. It says that Text too small to read, viewport not set to device-width, and clickable elements too close together.  I have no idea what they are talking about because I can read it fine on my phone, tablet, or laptop.  Furthermore, I have no idea how to fix it.  Can anyone help?

HAPPY SCRAPPERS MAKERS

Chris had some fun projects for us when the Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Wednesday.  Above, Terri shows us this adorable wreath mug mat that she made.
I made one too.
I also made a snap bag.
And this cute little jar lid opener.  I folded down the top so you can see the Non-Slip Shelf Liner that is on the back to help grip that lid when you are trying to open something.  Great gift!
Janalee worked on her Garden Sampler BOM.  So cute!
Cathy (hiding behind the quilt) finished a small quilt that she gave to Janalee to give to the Women's Shelter down town.
Pat R. finished this adorable quilt that is a gift for her Grandson who lives in California.
Not only is it adorable, but Pat's quilt is reversible.  This is the back of her quilt.  Now her grandson will be able to use it all year long!  What a clever idea!

A MUST HAVE BOOK!

I forgot to tell you that all the crafts that Chris provided for us on Craft Days at the Attic Window Quilt Shop came from the above book, Weekend Sewing, 20 quick and easy projects, by Annie's Sewing.
The books are still available for purchase at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

Also, when I previously posted about the fun Craft Day, a reader asked what this was.  It is an eye glass case.  I suppose you could use it for other things.  One person said she'd put her rotary cutter in it.  Another person said she'd use it for her phone.   Whatever you decide, it certainly has many uses, maybe even fill it with candy for a friend.

CRAFT DAYS AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

All the Christmas Craft Days at the Attic Window Quilt Shop are over, so now I can show you all the things we made.

First up was Marilyn who distributed our kits and
showed us how to make this cute little mitten.
Then she showed us how to attach it to make an adorable mug rug,

Next, Chris shows us the fabric and batting packets she has put together for us.  I love the various fabrics she chose and it was hard to decide which I wanted to make.
We could make our basket in either the small or large size.
Above is a better look at the baskets side by side.
This is the basket I made.  Love this fabric.
What was really nice is that Chris showed us a clever way to finish the bottom of the basket after we had turned it inside out.  What a nice finish it gives the basket.
Next Chris showed us how to make two different kinds of coin purses.
I hope you can see that the one is curved at the top.
Of course, we had to eat!  Everyone brought a dish to pass and Chris provided the main course.  Everything was wonderful!
We got patterns for this.
And this cute gift bag.
Then Chris showed us how to make our final project.
What a beautiful table topper or wall hanging.
By the end of the day we were all exhausted, but happy and proud of all we accomplished.  Thank you Chris for a fantastic day!

A FUN DAY AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Pam made us laugh!

Happy December!  I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had at Craft Day at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  Chris had so many lovely projects ready for us.  All we had to do was sew! And of course, laugh, and visit, and eat.  Chris provided the main dish for the noon meal, and all of us who attended brought a dish to pass.  Everything was fantastic!

As you can see in the photo above, Pam was having a good time and made us all laugh when she put the basket she made on top of her head.  What a hoot!

I'd like to tell you about the other projects we made, but it's a secret!  You can still participate in this fun event because, due to popular demand, another Craft Day has been added.  It will be held this coming Friday, Dec. 6.  I understand there is still room, so NOW would be a good time to call the shop and book your space.  I promise, you will not be disappointed.  I'll post pictures next week of all the projects we made.
