2014 SAMPLER BLOCK FOR FEBRUARY

The 2014 Sampler class was held at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  I was unable to attend because, guess what….I was snowed in!!!  Cathy M. was able to be there and sent me a picture of the block we will be working on this month.  Cathy said, “Chris gave us a few helpful hints on assembling the squares.  Since this block has triangles she said to sew with the tris on the bottom to prevent the tri from stretching.  It seemed to work.  A little aggressive ironing at the end resulted in a 12 1/2" block, with all points showing!”  Didn’t she do a great job!  Thank you Cathy.
This is my block that I worked on last month.  I love these big blocks and am anxious to see what fabrics will be in my kit this month as I chose the 30s fabrics.  I think Cathy is working with the Brights.

DON’T FORGET:
  • The Heart of Winter Tour is February 8th.  Call the shop to make your reservation as space is limited and the bus is filling up fast!
ON ANOTHER NOTEDiary Of A Quilter has a tutorial for a large Be Good To Your Heart Quilt Block.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
