I had fun making this block today.  It is a sample for the Attic Window Quilt Shop. The block is True North from the book The Quilt Block Cookbook by Amy Gibson.  The sample is for the new BOM that begins in September at the shop.  Two meeting times, one during the day and one during the evening, are being offered.  We will be using blocks from the Quilt Block Cookbook.  When I first looked at the book, this block caught my eye and I had to try it.  Regular piecing is used in making  this block as well as paper piecing.  Can you tell which little squares are paper pieced?  I struggle with both regular piecing and paper piecing.  My blocks seem to never turn out right.  However, this was a fun block to make and, Surprise! it finished at the exact size it was supposed to.  This made me want to make more of the beautiful blocks in Amy's book.  If you are interested in participating in this BOM, please call the shop and register.
