KNOTTY GIRLS ARE BEING KNOTTY AGAIN

The Knotty Girls met recently at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, to do some stripping.  We had some show and tell first.  Marcy showed us this beautiful quilt top that she made for her daughter.   I love twilling and really like how she has used a different color of thread for each block.  That fabric she used for the sashings is perfect and made the twilling colors pop!

This is a close up of one of the blocks.  Marcy had three blocks left over and is making a table runner out of them.  She has one lucky daughter!

This is the Twilling top that Sherri made using green thread.  I can’t imagine the amount of work these women put into this project.  Isn’t it awesome?

Sherri showed us a darling bag she made for her niece.  I love those bright colors.
Sue L. is working on another project that takes a lot of time. This rug-hooking project will be beautiful when completed.

The Knotty Girls also did some stripping…exchanged strips for the Edyta Sitar pattern that we are going to make. Maggie and I are going to do some stripping of our on.  Well, really we are going to do some further exchanging as we have opposite tastes.  What I like she is giving to me and in return she will get what she likes and I don’t. Sounds like a good deal to me!

DON’T FORGET:

HEART OF WINTER TOUR takes place Saturday, February 12. I hope I get to go as I've heard these bus trips are so much fun.  Besides, I'm sick of being cooped up in the house.  Winter in Michigan can be unpredictable at best.  Why worry about the weather or driving on ice and snow.  Let the bus driver do all the worrying while you sit back, relax, and think about all the fabric you want to buy.  For more information, call the shop ASAP.

I saw this on the Quilting Board. Click here and get seven free New York Beauty Block Patterns.

Stay Positive!

I don't know what twilling is but oh my goodness it's GORGEOUS! Those blocks are so amazing.
Love the bag, good to see bright colors, isn't it? And the rug - how I'd love to learn that!

The twilling is gorgeous. Well done, ladies. Love the bright colors on the bag. She won't lose that bright bag. Great link as well.

Have a super great day and stay warm.

The twilling is amazing. I have NO IDEA how it's done. I am dying to take a rug hooking class and have been for a while. I might have found one by Lansing way...
