First, students started placing their scraps onto the batting size of their choice. Above is Yvonne’s start.
Sharon was off to a good start too.
Vickie S. decided to stretch her skills and step out of her box. She made a wonky block!
In no time, progress is made. Above you can see how Rosa’s block has developed.
This is Yvonne’s block.
Above is Peggy’s block.
Look how Vickie’s block has developed! I love it!
Once her block was to size, Donna started quilting her sandwich. (The backing has been added)
Sharon decided to use wavy lines in her quilting.
Peggy is quilting her block with straight lines.
Judi shows us her quilted block. She added a unique touch to the center block!
Above, Judi is connecting her blocks.
Can you tell where Judi made her connection?
Above, Sharon shows us her connected blocks. All Sharon’s fabrics had dots. I think that is what is so nice about this technique, you can use any fabric. It doesn’t have to be stripes.
Donna shows us her connected blocks.
These are Rosa’s two blocks connected.
Above are Yvonne’s two blocks waiting to be connected.
Above is another view of Vickie's block. Each block created today by these students was fantastic. I hope to get to see their finished quilts. It was a fun day and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Oh how I WISH I could have come to this - I'm loving each and every block!!!
I love those blocks! I've always wanted to do QAYG but was afraid I'd not be able to put the blocks together right once they were quilted. Guess I'll have to give it a try one of these days! :0)
Looks like they all did great! Must be because they had such a good teacher. ;)
