Marti showed us this darling autumn wall hanging. We thought those maple leaves looked like they were blowing in the wind.
At my insistence, Marti showed us this Jelly Roll quilt. She said we have seen it before and she was just sewing on the binding. I had to get another picture of this beautiful quilt.
Peggy (left) and Judi (right) shows us these Lil Twister quilts that they made. Both are made with Halloween fabrics. They are so cute!
Peggy had her QAYG blocks laid out on the floor so she could see how she wanted to put then together. I thought this a good time to snap a picture! Love those blocks.
Diana was there, but took some time off to help a student from her Tatting Class.
Later, Diana got busy and cut batik fabrics for her Four-Patch Slice and Insert quilt. Notice the tall pile of fabric in the background waiting to be cut into squares.
Rosa shows us all the binding she is working on for her son’s quilt.
Cathy worked on her modern blocks. I forget the name of the pattern but will tell you more about it when I get a picture of the entire quilt.
And I made fabric. When I was trying to decide what to work on, I remembered something Jacquie Gering said that she did, which was to grab a handful of fabrics from her red scrap bin and another from her green scrap bin and allowed herself to use only those when she made blocks for her quilt. She used her scraps in a different way, but I used mine to make fabric. I love this block from my red scrap bin.
And this is the block from my green scrap bin. I love using scraps and making something from nothing. I think I’ll continue making these 10” blocks and put them into a quilt. What a fun day we had!DON’T FORGET:
