A GREAT IDEA FOR CHRISTMAS GIFT

Does this look like a grocery bag to you?  I fell in love with this Heather Bailey Folding Tote pattern the minute Chris showed it to me.  I left the Attic Window Quilt Shop that day with pattern in hand and a song in my heart.  I had to make some of these.
I made this first one in an afternoon from fabric I had at home.  Check out that big pocket on the side!
It is lined too!  The above picture shows you the lining I used.
And once it is all done you just fold it up into a little pouch.
So, the next day I ran up to the Attic Window Quilt Shop and purchased some of the new fabrics.
Since I was going to be at Happy Scrappers the next day, I waited and made this Tote while there.
 Isn't this fabric beautiful!
Above you can see the lining I used.

This tuck-away shopping system would make wonderful Christmas gifts. The pattern also includes a Tote Sash (for strapping multi totes together) and a pouch or wallet (great for those coupons).  Can't you just see it folded into it's pouch sitting in a loved one's car, ready to be grabbed just before running into the market?  Give the shop a call and place your order for this wonderful pattern (I say place your order, because I bet there are no patterns left because I've been telling everyone about it).

Great idea Caroll. Especially since California just passed a new law against the use of single use plastic bags...unless you want to pay 10cents for each one you get. I have to take reuseable bags to the grocery store now. The free totes that the bank hands out are not great quality and won't last long. I do love how this one folds up.
