Joyce H. (left), Dee H., Peggy F., and Betty K. also show us their table toppers. The pattern is Anything Goes by Tiger Lily Press.
Next on the agenda Diana showed us how to make one of these Little Jewels bags. This pattern was also included in the kits provided and includes directions for making them in four different sizes.
Above is a bag and table topper. I snapped this when no one was around, but I think they belong to Joyce.
This is from the pattern Fabulous Folded Bags and is a bit of Fabric Origami. Above it holds candy which Chris provided for us who needed nourishment. This pattern is by Desiree's Designs and includes directions for so many different bags that I can't name them all. I'm thrilled that it was included in the kit provided as I already am thinking of using this pattern for an Eater Bunny Bag.
You couldn't see it in the previous picture, but the bag included this snowman face. We pressed on the eyes, nose and mouth, and Chris painted the lashes and cheeks. Then we stitched around the pieces fused and on the line of the mouth. So adorable.
Above, Lynn, Joyce, and Jeane show us their bags. It looks like they might still have some stitching to do, but I was in a hurry to get a picture before our next project started.
Dee shows us her bag. And Betty shows us her bag. She decided to make hers a little different. She wanted the blue fabric to show, so she did a decorative stitch along the edge, did not add the snowman face, and folded her bag just the opposite of what the others did. It is so cute.
For our next project, Chris showed us how to make a quilt as you go table runner. It is from the pattern Jana Made It, by Pieced Tree.
Above, we show you our table runners. We still have to add our black binding, but it was getting late and I wanted to get a picture of us together before people started going home. It was a long day, starting at 9 a.m. and there were four fantastic projects to make. Then we had to take a little time off for lunch. Everyone brought a dish to pass and Chris provided the main item for the meal. There was way too much food, and of course we had to take time to eat and socialize.
A special thanks to Chris and the Attic Window Quilt Shop and the teachers, Marilyn and Diana for making this a wonderful day!
