GIFTS MADE ON CRAFT DAY AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Saturday was the last Craft Day this year at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, so I can show you all the wonderful items we made.  I couldn't tell you previously because those items were a secret.  Each year Chris provides us with kits to make 4 or 5 different projects.  They are always different and fun projects.  There were 12 people in the class on Saturday. It was so great to socialize with people I had never met before, and to talk to old friends I haven't seen in a long time!
First we made these adorable Layered Christmas Tree Ornaments.  With each kit came instructions, so we can make more at home.
Then we made this cute A Tisket A Tasket 2 Fat Quarter Basket.  This will be so nice to put a gift in.  No need for wrapping paper.
Next we all went to the cutting table to pick up our kits for the next project.  Don't you just love that fabric!
This project is just called Zipper Bag, but Chris named it the vacuum cleaner bag because as you make it and before it is turned inside out, it looks like a vacuum cleaner bag.
When we turned it so we could see the cute fabric on the outside, it becomes this darling zipper bag.  I can think of a million uses for it:  travel make up bag, sewing supplies bag, art supplies, men's shaving supplies, just to name a few.

Next we made a Mini Wallet/Coin Case.

Above, you can see the three different pockets for storing coins, credit cards, folded money.  One person said that she and her husband walk a lot, but never have any ID on them, and these Mini Wallets are just what she needs to put their ID in and slip it in a pocket when they walk.  What a great idea.  I'm making more and putting a gift card in each one so my great grand kids can get what they want.
The kits came in different fabrics, and Marilyn used her special tool to add the colorful snaps for us.

It was a wonderful day.  We each brought a dessert or snack, and that was awesome.  Then Chris ordered pizza for lunch and of course pop, water, coffee were provided.  It was a wonderful day!  You won't want to miss this next year!!

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.  Check the calendar for special closings during the holidays.

That really does look like it was as fun day! And so productive too! I love all those small projects you got to make.
