THE HAPPY SCRAPPERS HAVE SOME SHOW AND TELL

The Happy Scrappers met Saturday at The Attic Window Quilt Shop.  We missed seeing a few people because they were off on retreat, but we still had a great time visiting, sharing, and quilting.  Above, Jana Lee adds binding to her quilt.

Above, Tammy shows these small pieces she's been working on.  I can't wait to see what she does with them.  She showed me this pattern that she is going to use them for.

This should be fantastic.  Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Deb shows us the fabrics she worked with today
.
She is going to make this bag.  I'm eager to see it, too. Maybe she'll have it all done by the time we meet next month???

Lee Anne was busy piecing this lovely quilt together.  Don't you just love the colors!
And, I'd like you to meet Karen.  Since Chris was off in another state attending a relative's graduation, Karen was in charge of the Shop today.  I don't know how long she'll be there, but stop in and say Hi.  She's very helpful and friendly.  Hopefully, we'll see her again.

And, that Jana Lee said she was playing Jane today. Jane was off on some retreat and Jana Lee knew we would miss the cookies that Jane always brings, so she said she would play Jane today.  These cookies were wonderful!  Thank you Jana Lee!

Don't forget, the Happy Scrappers meets the last Saturday of the month.   Everyone is welcome. Bring a project to work on. Hope to see you there in June.

THE HAPPY SCRAPPERS APRIL MEETING

Hello Quilters! The Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday and I have lots of pictures to show you today.  Jane showed us her latest quilts for charity.  She said the above snowman quilt was a panel and she used flannel for the background.

And this is another quilt that Jane is donating to charity.  They both are so darn cute.  What child wouldn't love one of these!

Tammy worked on this quilt, cutting the wee small pieces for it and sewing them together. I really admire her patience.
As you can see in the photo, this block is only a 4 inch square, so the little pieces that make up the block are very small!!!

Marty joined us today.  It was so nice to see her and catch up with what all she's been doing.  She didn't bring any sewing today.  She just wanted to chat and see what everyone is working on and see what is new in at the Shop.  We were so glad to see her.

And Joyce joined us today.  She hasn't been to Happy Scrappers since she moved up north, and that was years ago.  It was so nice to see her.

Pat, left, and Val, joined us today.  As you can see, Val was working on this lovely stitchery.

And Pat was busy making these small flowers.  I'm eager to see what she is going to do with them.

Penny was busy sewing these squares together.  Each square was given to a visitor at the recent All State Shop Hop.

And here is what she did with them.  She made this bag!  How clever!  What a great way to use them!

Above is Jane.  Don't you love her glasses!  I think they are perfect when doing small stitch sewing like on the following.

Jane was working on these small Christmas Tree Ornaments.

Above are close ups of the small squares.  She is making them into Christmas Tree ornaments for her nieces and nephews.

And these are the backs of the ornaments.  I hope to get a picture of one of them when it is all finished and ready to hang.

And Lee Anne was diligently working on another quilt.  Love those fabrics!

And as for me, I was doing some hand applique.  Sorry, but I forgot to take a picture.

Don't forget, the Happy Scrappers meets the last Saturday of the month.   Everyone is welcome. Bring a project to work on. Hope to see you there in May.

Stop by the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new fabric.

HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

When we were at Happy Scrappers at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday, Chris (owner) showed us this cute vase or pencil holder that someone had made for her using yo-yos.  So cute!!!

We had such a great time that day as a number of us enjoyed sewing, and catching up with fellow quilters as to what they had been up to.  Above, JanaLee irons fabric for one of the projects she was working on.

Pat and Val joined us for the fun filled day!

Karen was busy making these blocks!  How pretty.

Nancy shows one of the many blocks she made that day.  I didn't learn what she was making, but I love the fabrics, so it is sure to be awesome.

LeeAnne was busy making pinwheels.

Above she shows me what one will look like.  Love those fabrics!

Jane was busy working.  She really amazes me on how much she gets done.  Sorry, I forgot to ask her what she is making.  Maybe another quilt for charity and then I get to quilt it.  Yah!!

I guess I forgot to take a picture of what I was working on.  Really, that is best because it's for a gift.  Actually, I spent all day doing hand sewing.   I think that's why I love applique so much.  I have something to do with my hands while I'm watching TV or gabbing to friends.

Don't forget, the Happy Scrappers meets the last Saturday of the month.   Everyone is welcome. Bring a project to work on. Hope to see you there in April.

Stop by the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new fabric.

THE HAPPY SCRAPPERS MEET AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Hello Quilters. I was going through my UFOs for a project I need to finish, and I found this!  I had forgotten all about it.  It was from a class I took from Mary Lou Weidman years ago.  I don't think she is having workshops any more or even posting on her blog, but you can go here:  https://marylouweidman-marylou.blogspot.com/ ...to see all the other fun stuff she does.  I took this quilt with me to Happy Scrappers at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  I wanted to show the ladies what I found in my UFO pile.

There were only three of us that day, but I had such a great time sewing and catching up on what everyone has been doing.  We've been so isolated here recently with this snowy weather, that it was wonderful to be able to get out of the house and talk to my quilting friends.  Above, Lee Anne and I shared a table and enjoyed talking away!

Chris decided to join us and was busy making pillowcases.
And Jane W. is always such a joy to talk to. She's involved in so many quilting activities and retreats and is loaded with information and fun stories.

I hope the weather is better next month and you all can get out and enjoy Happy Scrappers with us.  Remember, the Happy Scrappers meet at the Attic Window Quilt Shop on the last Saturday of the month.

Stop by the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new fabric.

NEW FABRICS AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Hello quilters!  I was at the Attic Window Quilt Shop today and saw so many pretty things that I had to share them with you.  There are lots of new fabrics in at the Shop.  Above is Pretty Kitty by Riley Blake.

And this is Butterscotch also by Riley Blake.  There was more but I didn't have time for them to be opened and unwrapped.

I love this Bee fabric, don't you? I think I showed it before.

Someone took the panel and made a quilt.  How pretty!

Looking for a gift idea?  You can make these pot holders or table mats.
And to help make it easier for you, Chris has made up kits.  How quick and easy is that?

Did you take this BOM?  Marilyn finished her Farm Girl 2 BOM.  It is lovely!!

Also, when looking through the Shop I saw this pattern and display.  How handy can you get?  Any sewer would love this!

More new fabric in at the Shop.

These are also from Riley Blake Designs.  They are in the front of the Shop as you walk in.

And last but mot least, I love, love this.  LeeAnne made it.  Isn't it adorable!!!

Stop by later this week because I want to tell you all about Marilyn's new class!

Stop by the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new fabric.

Normal hours for the Attic Window Quilt Shop:  Open Monday - Friday, 10 - 5, and Saturday, 10 - 4.

PS, I hope to have the calendar up soon. They keep changing things and now I can't convert the Word Calendar to a PDF and put it on the blog.  Any help with that?
