Isn’t this little guy precious!  Mama and PaPa Cardinal built a nest in the Bittersweet vine that climbs up the trellis on my front porch.  They are the proud parents of two babies.  I kept a close eye on them and got this shot the very first day that they left the nest.  I was so excited I had to show it to you.  They have flown the coop and I haven’t seen them since.

Have you signed up for the Shop Swap?  The Attic Window Quilt Shop is swapping with Quilted Memories in Montague.  This is how it works:  You register at one of the shops to participate.  The Swap is on June 10 & 11th, 17 & 18th.  You start with a pre-cut quilt at Quilted Memories.  There, you will receive a project kit.  The Small size 54X64 is $65.00,  and the Large size 64X76 is $85.00.  You will have a wonderful lunch, and enjoy the day sewing with others.  Then the next day (It can be anyone of the days above) you go to the Attic Window Quilt Shop to get the rest of your project kit, enjoy lunch, and have a great time sewing all day long!  Call the Shop for further details.     You can see a picture of the quilt here.

The Zany Quilter has a tutorial on making a mosaic quilt.

I love cardinals. They don't live in my area. I miss seeing them.

That is such a great photo! I know we have nests all around us of cardinals, but I haven't been able to get a good photo! They do love coming to the feeders though:) This is just so sweet!

Hi Caroll,
Cute, cute baby bird. I have never seen a little cardinal before, only after they have fledged and start to follow mom and dad to our feeders.

How fortunate to see that! We have a lot of cardinals, but their nests are far away, and I never see the babies.
