This bright place mat is made from scraps. The creator can practice appliquéing circles, quilting, binding. This design can be changed to meet your likes/dislikes, i.e., less circles, more circles, replace circles with hearts. You are the creator.
This place mat will give you the opportunity to use up those orphan blocks. In a previous post, I used half of this orphan block for a mug rug. Above, I used the other half. What fun to use orphan blocks in your own unique way.The Attic Window Quilt Shop Mug Rug Club starts next week (three monthly sessions). Join us in learning new techniques and make fun small projects. Check out the class calendar on the sidebar or call the shop for further details and to register.
The Noble Wife has a darling free stitchery pattern. Check it out.

Oh, me oh my. Those are SOOO cute! I am not sure I can do it just because we are interviewing two more people starting next week. It might just put me over the edge. But I want to so bad! Will you be doing it again in the future?
Love them all...It is a great way to practice techniques and get it all done quickly!

Those are just too darling - my favorite is the top one, love the prairie points, very unusual!

Oh, how fun! They're all so bright and beautiful!
You know, there's not a good reason that placemats should all be identical. This is a super idea. Whoop! Whoop!
