A BAG FOR ALL REASONS

I attended Marilyn's Make It Take It bag class earlier this week at the Attic Window Quilt Shop. Remember, I showed you this before.  I love the way this bag folds up for easy storage.
Rosa is working on her bag.  Notice those lovely fabrics she is using.  I had to leave before she completed her bag, but I hope to get a picture of her finished bag to show you.
HOT TIP:  When making this bag, it was difficult to slide the Peltex into the pocket.  Rosa came up with this helpful idea.  Place a ruler on the bottom, then with the rough side of the Peltex down against the ruler, slide them both into the pocket, then just slip the ruler out and the Peltex is in place. Works like a charm!  Thanks Rosa.
Cathy M. shows us her finished bag.  Beautiful fabric.
Sheryl shows us the fabrics she is using in her bag.  She said she didn't want to do any decision making that day and chose to use the same fabrics that are in the Sample bag that Marilyn made.
I saw Sheryl a few days prior to class and asked her to bring in a couple of her latest finishes that I had not seen.  Sheryl said she made this beautiful quilt in one day and used a charm pack.  She was surprised when she realized that the fabric in the charm pack was the same she used in her Bargello quilt and could use the leftover fabrics from that for the borders on this quilt.
I've been anxious to see this quilt.  Sheryl recently took a Bargello class from Vickie S.  Above is Sheryl's completed quilt.  Isn't it stunning!  Thank you Sheryl for sharing these lovely quilts with us.
Above is me with my finished bag.  The women gave me a bad time and said I could not just take a photo of my bag and that I had to be in the picture too.  So here I am, bad hair day and all!

I think I like this view batter.  I love this bag and would recommend taking a class with Marilyn.  She is a great teacher and helped me get this bag finished in the right way.

You did a great job on your bag! I love seeing your smiling face as you model your bag. I know it is hard to get yourself in the photo when you are the photographer but it is nice to see you occasionally.

I agree with Lynn--you did a great job on your bag and I LOVE seeing your smiling face in your picture. Thank you for writing this blog and keeping us informed on what's going on at the shop. I don't get there as often as I'd like to but love seeing all the photos you put together of the ladies who are there for different group activities. I feel like I know many of them although most of them I've never met. Thank you!
