She had told me she wanted plastic on the inside because sometimes her makeup spills and plastic makes it easy to clean. Well, I could not imagine working with plastic to make this bag. So I asked around. Chris at the Attic Window Quilt Shop told me what to get. I have no idea what the name of it is or who makes it, but it is a soft, cloth backed vinyl which should be easy to keep clean. It was nice to work with. I did get a smaller Sharp needle and used clips instead of pins.
The pattern I used was the Open Wide Zipper Pouch by Noodlehead. You can find a nice tutorial here.
DON'T FORGET to sign up for the Heart of Winter Tour bus trip on Saturday, Feb. 10th. You can read about it here. I'm really looking forward to visiting the four shops on the tour.

That stuff looks perfect for the inside of a makeup bag. And that’s a perfect bag for your granddaughter. I’ll bet she will love it.
Well aren't you the clever one - what a great make-up bag!! She'll love it!
