YOU WILL WANT TO MAKE ONE OF THESE

I wish I had known about this before Christmas!  Kelly, a new friend from Pittsburgh, gave me this today, and I had to share it with you.  This is so clever and makes a nice gift any time of the year.
What is it, you ask.  It is a cook's towel.  You drape it around your neck and you always have your towel available for wiping your hands.  That is so clever.  I'm forever looking around for my towel, and even if I know where it is (in it's usual spot), I have to turn and walk to it.  This way it is always available, right there!  Thank you, Kelly, for this clever towel.  I will use it often.

How to make it:

When I look at it, it looks you will need a fabric strip that is 7 inches wide.  The length of fabric for the neck piece is 44 inches, not counting the amount you need to turn under at the ends.  However, now I notice there is seam at the back, so you would need two pieces of fabric 23 inches long, one for each side.  Sew these two pieces together with the seam in the back, then fold length of piece in half and sew down the length of the strip making a strip 4 1/2 inches wide and 44 inches long.  Turn so raw edges of this long seam are on inside.  Iron so that seam is down the middle of the strip, then after cutting your hand towel in half, tuck each piece in an end of the neck piece and sew two rows at each end.

I hope this is clear!  If you have any questions let me know.  And again, thank you Kelly.  So very nice of you!
