New At The Attic Window Quilt Shop And Holly Hop

When I visited the Attic Window Quilt Shop today, I was taken in by this awesome display.  That treadle sewing machine sure brought back memories.

I was also taken in by these lovely fabrics from Henry Glass & Co.  They are in the sewing related items theme!

These lovely fabrics above are from Hoffman fabrics.

You may remember on the last post, there was a panel called Butterflies and Blooms.  These are the coordinating fabrics and are from Henry Glass & Co.

Now let's talk about the Holly Hop.   Above you can see the various participating shops.

Kits will be available at the Attic Window Quilt Shop during the Hop for these two table toppers.  It looks like a fun event and one I want to get in before the snow flies.  We had snow here today in Michigan.  Fortunately, only flurries that are not sticking to the ground.

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  It is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Hope to see you there!

A FUN TIME AT HAPPY SCRAPPERS

Hello Quilters.  Are you ready for Halloween?  The Attic Window Quilt Shop is.  When the Happy Scrappers entered the shop this past Saturday, we saw this adorable monster surrounded by fantastic fall fabrics and other creating ideas.

Not only will you see that, but you will want to check out this fun panel at the shop.  It is Butterflies and Blooms by Henry Glass & Co.

Or how about this cute panel.  What fun to hang this during that "haunting" time of year!!!

Above, Sonnie inspects this spectacular yo-yo quilt currently at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  I don't know who made it, but I admire the patience and creative thought and time put into creating this beautiful quilt..
Sonnie showed us her latest finished project.  She quilted it herself and is now ready to start her own quilting business.  She does beautiful work.
On Saturday, Sonnie worked on these blocks.  I love these colors and am eager to see the finished quilt.
Val joined us today.  We haven't seen her in a long time.  So glad she could join us.  I know she has to travel a distance to get to the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Saturday at Happy Scrappers, she made this cup holder for a friend to hold her quilting supplies and/or pencils and pens.

Val was also working on a multitude of these tiny squares.  I'll show you the quilt when she gets it finished.  Right now she has tons of these little squares in her tote, all cut and ready to sew.

Jane, Nancy, and Janalee also attended Happy Scrappers, but they hurried out to get to a retreat before I could get pictures.

That's all for today, folks!  Hope you have a great week and a Happy Halloween!  Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  It is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Hope to see you there!

OCTOBER CALENDAR IS HERE

I just wanted to let you know that the Attic Window Quilt Shop October Calendar is on the sidebar, or you can go here to get it.  Also, I wanted to show you this picture.  Chris put the binding on the quilt and you can see it at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  You can also get the pattern there.  I used freezer paper applique to make the applique on this quilt, and if anyone wants to earn this method just call the shop and let Chris know.  I have heard people say they don't like all the prep work involved in this method.  The thing I like about freezer paper applique is that you get nice crisp edges, and once the prep work is done and the applique is glued in place, you can take your project with you and do your hand sewing anywhere.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Stop in and get some of the new fabrics.  You won't want to miss them!!

HAPPY SCRAPPERS HAVE FUN AT THE QUILT SHOP

Hello October!  The Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  It was a beautiful day here in Michigan and I'm not surprised that there were only three of us to quilt.  I don't think Marti nor I sewed a stitch, but we socialized and talked to Mary G. while she did some sewing.  And we walked around the shop and saw a lot of new items that I am eager to show you.  Check out this wall hanging.  It's perfect for this time of year.  This Pumpkin Quilt called Enormous was made by Melonie! Kits will be available.

And these are some new fabrics.  This is what Chris said:  The crazy Cat In The Hat got caught in a web & went Batty. Haha!!! These  three pieces would make an awesome pillowcase.

Remember last month when Chris showed us how to make this quilt with two colors of fabric?  Well, some creative person at the shop used the same design and made it using her scraps.  It is really an eye catcher.  I can't wait to try this one!

There are some new panels in the shop, too.  This above is adorable.
And these are the coordinating fabrics.
And here is another winter themed panel.  You could embroidery it or paint it.  Notice the recipes on the bottom.

The Attic Window Quilt Shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5, and Saturday, 10-4.  Stop in and get some of the new fabrics.  You won't want to miss them!!
