ARE YOU READY FOR CHRISTMAS?

Are you ready for Christmas?  The Attic Window Quilt Shop is decorated and ready for you to visit and do your shopping, maybe pick up those last minute gifts or supplies.
This lovely table runner greets you as you enter the shop.
You can find the pattern in this book, "Stitches From The Yuletide.
Aren't these little ornaments adorable?
Marilyn made this cute little basket.  Look at all the goodies filling it.  What a great idea for you to make and fill with gifts for your loved ones.
And don't forget the tree!  It's all decked out too.
Check out this beautiful tree skirt.  I bet you can find the pattern in the shop.  It may be too late for this year, but think about how great it will look warped around your tree trunk next year.
Also, you will find Diana's beautiful pillows on the chair as you enter the shop.  What a nice gift they would make.
Not only will you find lots of other Christmas items throughout the shop, but there are new books in also.  Be sure and check them out.

CHRISTMAS SEW ALONG - BLOCK 7

This is the last block of the Sew Happy Sew Along.  Isn’t it cute? And so true!  We got snow here today on the west side of Michigan.  Oh, Joy!  Be sure to click on the button on my side bar to get instructions for how to put this banner together.  I think it will make a wonderful Christmas gift for ….well I can’t say.  I’ll probably give it to… on Thanksgiving so it can be enjoyed during the holidays..

Jennifer at Ellison Lane Quilts has a wonderful tutorial for a Starflower Block.  Love those bright colors.

CHRISTMAS SEW ALONG - BLOCK 6

This is block six of the Sew Happy Sew Along.  I think the last pattern posting is this week, so be sure to click on the button on my side bar to get your pattern.

Here are a couple links I found of interest.  The Scientific Seamstress has a nice post on how she has organized her sewing room.   The Lab was her theme and she used beakers from a scientific supply store  to hold her buttons.   Oh, to have all that room and to be that organized.  What I really liked was her free geektastic printable.  How clever of her to come up with a Periodic Table of Sewing Elements.  I think I have to have one for my sewing room (maybe some beakers too)!

I also found this interesting.  The blog Pane, Aniree e Creativita is in another language but there is a tab on the right that will translate it for you.  Actually, the pictures are all you need to give you instructions for making this darling bookmark. I thought I could take fabric, iron on stiffener, and do a little origami with it.  Wouldn’t that be cute and a nice little gift for a friend who likes to read?
