TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE AWQS SALE

Have you taken advantage of the big sale at the Attic Window Quilt Shop yet?  Today I have more sale fabrics to show you.

As noted on the last post, each fabric is on sale for $8 per yard.  If you purchase the whole bolt it is $6 a yard.  Each bolt in the above pictures has a tag with a number on it.  That is to help customers tell Chris which fabric you want.  You can call the Attic Window Quilt Shop to make an appointment for curbside pickup or place an order and Chris will ship to you.  You can call the shop at 616-785-3357 or send Chris an email at BrownAttic@aol.com

Remember!  Support your local quilt shop!  We want to go to the Attic Window Quilt Shop and sew with our friends once this "stay at home thing is over!!!  I miss everyone!

I SPY YOU NEEDING QUILTING SUPPLIES. CALL THE ATTIC WINDOW NOW!

Marilyn sent me some pictures and I'm having a hard time deciding what to show you first.  She is one busy lady.  She made the above I Spy book.  She said that she made it from one of the panels at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

This panel makes an adorable book!
Marilyn also made this bag.  She used the All About The Bees fabric that you can get at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.
This is the inside of the bag.  Check out all those pockets.  Marilyn makes the best bags.

I apologize to all who have sent pictures that I put on the blog.  Today when I went back through the blog looking for the name of a fabric, I noticed all the pictures were gone!  THANKS BLOGGER.  I was so mad.  I knew it happened to one post but not all of them.  Grrrrrr.  When I was told by Blogger that the problem was fixed I thought it was only that one post with the problem.  Gads.  I'm so sorry for all of you who sent pictures that disappeared.

IMPORTANT: As you know the Attic Window Quilt Shop is closed due to the pandemic but you can still place an order. Chris said that you can do curbside pickup or she will ship to you.  Just call her at the shop or email her at BrownAttic@aol.com.

Remember!  Support your local quilt shop!  We want to go to the Attic Window Quilt Shop when this "stay at home" thing is over!!!!  I miss everyone!

NEW STUFF AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Before we get to the new stuff at the Attic Window Quilt Shop I want to show you a couple more quilts that Chris made for the Quilter’s Road Trip that runs through June.  There are twelve area shops participating.  You get a chance to win a $25 gift certificate each month at each shop.  Also available will be new projects, patterns and giveaways.  You can still get your Passport for  only $5 at the shop.
This is another quilt that Chris designed.  There are three patterns all together.  I posted about the previous one here.  You can pick up your pattern, which includes all three designs, in June by showing your passport at the Shop.
Now for the new stuff.  Don’t you just love new stuff?  I got so excited when I saw these new books at the shop.  They are all must-haves.  Stop in and take a look.
Of course, I couldn’t get away without showing you the wonderful new fabrics in at the shop.  Above (not the dark fabric on the left) are fabrics from the Happy Go Lucky line by Moda.
Now to the dark fabrics on the left in previous picture.  These fabrics are adorable.  The line is Alley Cats by Kanvas Studios.  I can’t wait to get some of these cute little kitties for my focus squares paper pieced blocks.
These Charm Squares and Jelly Rolls are called Icicle Kisses by Kansas Troubles.
Above are Bali Snaps, Bali Crackers, Bali Pops by Hoffman Fabrics.
These Honeycombs, Charm Squares and Jelly Rolls are also from the Happy Go Lucky line by Moda.

I’ll be spending the next couple days going over patterns to see how much I need of all these beautiful fabrics.

ON ANOTHER NOTE
:  In case you need inspiration as to what to make with some of these fabrics, check out Molly Flanders for an even easier arrow tutorial.  Also, A Few Scraps has a nice tutorial for a linked block.

Until next time,

LET'S TALK ABOUT COLOR

There’s nothing like color to catch your eye!  These shirts grabbed my attention while shopping at Kohl’s and I had to go back and take a picture.  I love it that men are wearing color.  I’m sick of the boring white shirts.  Can’t you imagine your guy wearing one of these gorgeous shirts?
Speaking of color, check out the new fabrics at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  These fabrics are Razzle Dazzle by Kona Bay Fabrics.
This is a close up of one of the fabrics.  I love these luscious colors and my minds is whirling as I think about how I can put this one to use.

On Another Note:
  • Mark your calendar NOW!  It’s almost April and you want to get this on your calendar NOW!  Jodi Barrows, author and creator of the amazing Square in a Square technique, will lecture, demo and have a Trunk Show at the Attic Window Quilt Shop on Thursday April 11th from 6-9 p.m. Call the Shop to reserve your seat as space is limited.
  • The Spring Fling Shop Hop will be held the week of April 12-20.  Seven shops are participating.  Daily drawings for $20 gift certificates from each shop.  Someone will be the winner of the grand prize: a Janome Sewing Machine!   Get your passport now for only $5.
  • Quilters Road Trip will be held during the months of April, May, and June.  Twelve area shops are participating.  You get a chance to win a $25 gift certificate each month at each shop.  Also available will be new projects, patterns and giveaways.  Passports are only $5.
Check This Out:  In Color Order has a tutorial for a grocery bag holder...you know...those pesky things that come home with you on your various shopping trips and seem to multiply in the closet.

NEW AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Lee Ann made this Pick A Posy Tote bag and it is on display at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  This pattern was designed by Penny Sturges and can be found in the March/April issue of McCall’s Quilting magazine.  This bag has no pockets and is just the right size for toting quilting supplies, magazines, library books, etc.  I love the dimensional flower accent.

This darling panel is by New Castle fabrics and is new at the shop.  Coordinating fabrics are also available.
This is another new panel at the shop.  So often we can’t find just the right thing for that boy we’d like to make a quilt for.  This panel is perfect!  I can just see how excited my great grandson will be when I tell him it's for when he's "off to the rescue."

ATTENTION:  Only one day left to sign up for the Heart of Winter Tour which takes place this Saturday.  Hop on our bus with me and get in lots of shopping time, food, discounts, and free patterns at each of the four shops visited. Call the Attic Window for more details and to register.

Ellison Lane has a nice star flower block tutorial for you.

NEW FABRICS AND BOOKS AT THE ATTIC WINDOW

I have a special place in my heart for cats.  I bet a lot of quilters do.   I fell in love with this new fabric at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  It is Witty Kitty from Studio E.
Along with all the new fabrics, there are also lots of new books and patterns in the shop.  Buttons & Blooms Whimicals is by Terri Degenkolh.
Pumpkin Patch Threads by Need’l Love  is another pattern book that looks like a must-have.

In honor of our furry friends, Sew 4 Home has a great tutorial for making a catnip toy for your cat for Christmas!
