MORE SEWING FROM HOME

This is what happens when we stay at home.  Chris at the Attic Window Quilt Shop sent pictures and wrote this:

"This is something I found in one of my cabinets that my granddaughter Tatium brought me years ago!  Remember the build a bear store? I had to finish it, stuff it and place the heart, which was supposed to go inside the bear but I sewed it on the outside.  

 Here he is with his heart on the outside where you can see it.

I love this saying on his back:  Pawsome! And look at his cute little tail!  Recently, Taitum turned 17, so Chris gave the bear to her.  Taitum said she did not remember it.  Oh, well, it's finished and gifted.  What a great feeling!

Thank you Chris for sharing with us.  I think a lot of us are using this time to clean and sort and discover forgotten items.

Julie, who leads the Doll Bee at the Attic Window Quilt Shop, sent me a note recently.  I posted the above picture of her cat to get your attention because what she said is helpful during these difficult times.  This is what she wrote:

Hi Carol,  I wrote to Chris a bit ago about some ideas for her Facebook page and she suggested they would be good for the blog too....

I’m sure you have heard that Spectrum Health is accepting donations of homemade PPE masks.  I had emailed this info to Chris as I think people would want to buy fabrics (especially batiks) for face masks and isolation gowns.  They shouldn’t use the cheap stuff from the cheap stores, because it’s not woven tightly enough.  I asked her if I could buy some batik over the phone and then swing by to pick it up. She said yes.  

So I thought others might want to do the same....and you might want to know this info to post about it. Below are some helpful links.

THIS IS CRIMINAL....

I agree with Nanette over at Freda's Hive, this is criminal. I too got a nasty virus and still do not have my computer back from the repair shop. At first I was very angry, and I do agree with Nanette when whe said, "It is absolutely a criminal act to maliciously try to infect someone's computer..." (Nanette I hope you don't mind me quoting you.). Why are some people so malicious? Why do they try to disrupt your life, steal your passwords, and try to get into your bank account, etc. After I calmed down I told myself that I can only feel sorry for these poor pathetic people who lead such pathetic lives that they have nothing better to do than to try make others miserable. So I decided not to give them the satisfaction. I am not miserable. I'm just thanking God every day that I'm not one of them. So, no pictures today, but I'll post something soon. Went to Bee Saturday and got lots of new things to share with you.
