NEW SAMPLER, NEW CLASSES AT ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

Above is the final block of the 2013 Sampler at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  This is a reminder that the 2014 Sampler begins this Saturday.  Choose which one of the various Sampler classes held during the month that you’d like to attend.  Then, call the Shop to register so your kit will be waiting for you.  Making the Sampler blocks during this past year really did a lot to stretch my skills.  Chris says this year the blocks will be larger and some new techniques will be tried.  I’m looking forward to participating in this and hope to see you there.

  • DON’T FORGET:  Check the calendar on the sidebar for upcoming classes.  There are lots of new ones being offered this month.  Even though I made a couple project bags during Craft day a few years ago, I’m going to attend the Project Bags class on Jan. 14th from 6-9 as I’ve had several people asking me to make them one.  There is nothing like taking a class to keep you from procrastinating.
  • A Stitch-In with a Mystery Block will be held Saturday, Jan. 18th from 10-5.
  • You won’t want to miss the Easy Heart Ornament class on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 1-2
  • So many of you have asked about this – A Folded Star class will be held Thursday, Jan. 23 from 1-4.
  • You can’t have too many bags!  Lee Ann is teaching a Strip Street Bag class on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 10-3.
  • For those who just like to sew, come sew with us when we have another Stitch-In on Friday, Jan. 24, from 10-5 and/or the UFO Day on Monday, Jan. 27th, from 10-5.
  • As always, call the Shop to reserve your spot.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: I love the 60 degree ruler.  Diary of a Quilter has a nice tutorial for making the star block using this ruler.

Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
