MEET THE TEACHERS AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

A teacher’s meeting was held last night at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Above is a picture of some of the teachers.  Someday I hope to get them all together.  But for now, I’d like to introduce you to (from left to right) Chris B. (owner), Marilyn, Jill, Lee Anne, Sue C., and Vickie D.
We talked about new class projects for the next four months. Marilyn is heading the Civil War BOM that has recently started.  She also teaches bag classes and various other classes.
Jill showed us this cute table topper.
And this wallhanging.
And this little placemat and napkin,
And this table topper.  They all came from the Art To Heart Table Please book which will soon be in the shop.
Lee Anne teaches us how to make beautiful bags in her classes.
Sue C. teaches classes on various projects (like the one above) and is best known for putting together the newsletter, and the shop ads and business cards.  Sue has many skills!
Are you a beginning quilter?  Vickie D. teaches a beginning quilters group that meets in the evenings.  Above is a sample of the Irish Chain table topper that you can make in her class.  Vickie is a wonderful teacher.  I know because when struggling with my piecing, Vickie is my go-to gal.

I hope you will join us in these fun classes.  Watch the calendar on the sidebar for dates and times or you can call the shop for further information.

DON’T FORGET:
  • HAPPY SCRAPPERS meets again this Wednesday at the shop.  Anyone interested in this fun Bee is welcome to attend.
  • Vickie S. will be teaching you how to use the Squedge Tool on Friday, August 15th from 10-2 p.m.  We will learn how to use this tool and make a table topper or table runner (your choice).  The fee for is $10.
  • AQS Quilt Week in Grand Rapids begins Wednesday, August 20th, at DeVos Place Convention Center.
 ANOTHER NOTE:
  • Did you go check out the Row By Row Shop Hop website?  This is a must for anyone traveling
  • Anne and Will has a wonderful tutorial for a braided stripe quilt!
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
